Projects and Sponsors

One Hull of a Forest would not be possible without help from our sponsors, and those willing to give trees some space on their land. We have been able to secure funds from a variety of sources for our planting, and so even if you don’t have money, if you have land, let’s talk!

One major upcoming project is The Poppy Trail – please support our work celebrating our trees and remembering the contributions of servicepeople in the two World Wars and later conflicts.

Our projects so far have been at:

Alderman Kneeshaw Recreation Ground

Alderman Cogan’s School

The Lozenge, Hull

Butterfly City

St Richard’s School, East Hull

Holderness Drain (Bilsdale Grove)

Prospect Gallery (in conjunction with Hull College)

Contact us to talk about a project at your school / institution

We’d especially like to thank our sponsors:

Emma Hardy, MP for West Hull and Hessle is patron of One Hull of a Forest. Her view on our efforts: “I’m delighted to become a patron of One Hull Of a Forest. Hull needs more trees – they reduce temperature in urban environments, remove pollution from the air, reduce carbon dioxide and provide homes for wildlife. OHOF have already done great work in Hull West and Hessle, and I look forward to supporting them in creating a greener city for all of us.”

Check out our interview on BBC Radio Humberside from March 2021. Hull City Council are gradually adding our projects to their location map under “Environment and Planning”.
